It’s official – Funding Agreement signed!

We have, just this week, received the news we have been waiting for from the Department for Education. This is that the Secretary of State for Education has agreed to enter into a Funding Agreement for The Griffin Primary School.

This next step in our journey towards opening is important, as this legal document is the Government’s commitment that we will be open in September and is one of the final stages in the process of opening a new school. It is also a clear sign that the Department for Education feels that we are in a strong position to deliver a high-quality education to the children of the local community.

We are now able to make firm, unconditional offers to pupils on Monday 17th April, formalise contracts with the teaching staff and procure everything we need to open in September.

Of course, there is a lot more to do over the coming months, but we are in a very strong position moving forwards.

We would like to thank the Department for Education, the Education Funding Agency, the wider community and most importantly you, the parents who have applied for places at the school, for your support.
