Our wraparound care is provided by Mr Martin, a member of our school staff, joined by a Game-On Coach for the club session. Game-On are a well-established and highly experienced provider who are Ofsted registered. All Game-On Coaching staff are fully enhanced DBS checked, safeguarding trained and carry a valid first aid certificate, as child safety and welfare is paramount in their practice. There will also be members of school/nursery staff present to ensure we fulfil the required ratios.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club will be available from 07:45-08:45 and there is also an additional drop-off option from 08.30.

All children receive a healthy breakfast from a variety of foods and drinks to cater for all children. Children participate in games and activities with strategy and puzzle games included. Children are then taken to class on time, ready for the school day ahead of them.

After-school Club

After school, the wraparound care consists of an extra-curricular 'club' session from 15:20-16:20, with two different activities offered each day of the week.

These activities are announced in the newsletter 'The Griffin Gazette' and consist of a mixture of sporting, arts and crafts or calm clubs, such as 

• Movement and Dance
• Art and Crafts
• Multi-Sports
• Gymnastics
• Construction and Model Making
• Board Games and Puzzles

There is then an additional wraparound session until 17:45 in a welcoming environment, where children can relax and wind down. A healthy snack is provided in this additional session.

An after-school ‘late pick-up’ session is also available each day from 15:20-15:35.

Booking and payment

Booking and payment should be made in advance by the end of the previous week if possible. Lots of parents book for the entire half-term in advance but we also know that there may be occasions where you need to book at the last minute - we, therefore, allow late bookings up to 10 minutes before the session is due to start by telephoning the office).

Please note that children who are not collected by 3.25pm, at the end of the school day, will be brought to the hall and parents will be charged the late pick-up fee.

Session fees (as at March 2024)

• Breakfast Club – £5.50 per session
• Early Drop-off – £1.10 per session
• Late Pick-up – £1.10 per session
• After School Club Session 1 – £3.85 per session
• After School Club Session 2 – £7.35 per session

Late collection fee

If you are late collecting your child there is a fee of £5.00 between 5.45-6.00pm and £1.00 per minute thereafter.

Holiday care

At the moment, our provision is term-time only and so holiday care is available by arrangement with the Headteachers at Brownsover Community School (3 years and above) or at Rugby Free Primary School with Game-On.
